Re: size turbo for stock b18?? (zchs21)
check out the huge ls turbo thread 108 pages and still growing strong: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1323059
The rundown of turbo trims basically is split into two sections:
1-
- Compressor trim
This is basically the measurment of the compressor wheel itself. The lower the number the less cfm of air it will flow.
- Compressor housing
This is the actual physical peice that goes over the compressor wheel. Like the turbine housing, it is measured in a/r's, which basically just tell you the size of the housing. The larger the number the larger the housing.
2-
- Turbine wheel trim
The turbine wheel trim isnt always mentioned, but most commonly there are 3 stages of turbine wheels (stg 1, stg 2, stg3) . Each has a different number of fins and size.
- Turbine housing
This is the piece that goes over the turbine wheel and is measured in a/r's like the compressor housing. The larger the number the bigger the housing. The smaller the number the quicker the spool and vice versa.
Please correct me if i made a mistake.
