It's actually 1/8" BSPT. The BSPT fitting has more taper than the NPT.
Be careful putting an NPT fitting in that hole. You can crack the block and/or break the fitting off. Autometer makes a BSPT to NPT adapter or if the block is out of the car, you can just run an NPT tap through the hole (that's what I did) so that you can put NPT fittings in there without worrying.
