Single Cam turbo builds

I've never built a motor before, and figured the best way to start would be with a single cam. I turbo'd my jdm d15, and want to move on to building. Ive spent a while reading up on bisimotos setups as well as a bunch others but have a couple questions to ask the honda community:

Goal would be to break 400whp, and everyones build threads Ive been reading only upgrades cams, pistons and rods as well as a port/polish. Ive seen the dyno charts and none of them sleeve the block, and a lot of them have stock IM, TB and apparently cranks while only spending around 4k.

Is running 25 psi on stock sleeves make the motor last a couple of runs? plus with vitara's what are piston clearing specs? Im new to the build game so any opinions are welcome+ specs on solid running motors.

Re: Single Cam turbo builds

Stock sleves have held 700+ whp (with proper tunning)!! ... i my self have dynoed 17psi putting down 337 and 240tq...

400whp is easily achievable under 4 grand (if you already have turbo kit)
Im running eagle, wiseco set up and a block guard. holding 17psi for about 6 months now hitting full boost here and there. On a d16z6... (see my build thread)

25psi is easily acievable but will probly need more than that unless youre using an oversized turbo.. 400+whp on a sohc isn't hard to do and very acievable (on race gas with right set up and tune)

Dont waste money on ebayyy crap!!! you will not hit 400whp. TRUST ME..
TUNING TUNING TUNING makes alll the differance..

The right set up will make all the differance. my head alone saw right around 50whp on dyno just from port n polish and 1mm over valves. VERYYY IMPORTANT.. Stock heads do not flow very welll!
