silicone tubing question
Im planing on buyin some tubing for the ic piping connections. What are the temperature ratings exiting the turbo's compressor and entering the intake mani? im kinda stuck deciding whether to buy silicone coolant tubing(225 burst pressure, 350F temp rating,) or silicone turbo tubing( 95 burst pressure, 450F temp rating). The coolant one is cheaper than the turbo one also.

Re: silicone tubing question (platinum00)
i dont see much difference putting coolant hose over turbo hose. it maybe harder but wouldnt i benefit from a stronger seal?
they are both made of Silicone.

I actually used radiator hose for my coupler comming off the turbo on my GReddy kit when I kept blowing Home Depot couplers after a few days of driving, never had a problem again.

Re: silicone tubing question (VTC_CiViC)
I found a couple of companies in my searches for connecting intercooler pipes. I havent put them on yet so I dont have any first hand knowledge. But they seem to be heavy duty. Mostly designed for intakes for large semi trucks and coolant routing...they are dirt cheap compared to Turbohoses.com

Ordered from both...good service and quick shipping. They also didnt mind helping a kid doing an "off the wall" type of project. They just seemed to want to sell me something that worked!!
