should the tuner need wideband to tune the car?
I am just curious how the tuner actually dyno tune the car. If my car does not have a wideband sensor, how can they possibly know the air fuel ratio? or do they have a wideband sensor they can hook up during the tuning session?
but then if my car has a wideband sensor, I can probably autotune the car with the correct equipment (since autotune is much easier?)

they will provide the wideband. you cannot accurately tune a car without one.
as for the autotune, it works ok, but you still have to manually smooth things out.
