Default Shaving B18b1 head for Wastegate fittment

I tried test fitting my Turbo/Manifold/Wastegate, and the wastegate is hitting the upper edge of the head/valve cover. I'm going to shave a little off the wastegate, and need to know how much I can take off the head without running in to trouble. I MAY be able to get away with just taking some of the head off, and not messing with the valve cover.

The Wastegate is going to sit like this

And I need to cut here

I was thinking about making a simple extension, because if it's about 2cm higher, it'll clear that ridge. I just bought a die grinder though, so if I can just trim a little off, I'd actually rather do that.
