Got out and made a quick video for you guys. During this pull it was 86 degrees outside and the tires hooked much better. Before today I’ve been doing most my tuning at night with temps around 55 degrees and it makes a big difference in traction. I’ll definitely be turning the power up with the warmer temps coming. Just so you all know this is the absolute slowest this car will ever be lol. I guess it’s a good starting point to compare from in the coming months as I turn it up. This run was 8 psi ramping up to 10psi in 2nd, and 14 psi in 3rd & 4th. Timing is still conservative 15 degrees at 14psi and afrs are ~11.2, this whole build only has 300 miles on it so far.

Also tach is about 1000rpms slow at redline. Shift light comes on at 8000rpm and limiter is 8500

p.s. did they charge you at the weight station
Nope all the weigh stations around me are free.

I know the feeling. I got used to 320hp pretty quickly. Time for a bigger turbo and built block lol.

Well trust me its a lot more difficult from what data i managed to find so far.
Yes he did ~ 5.20 its THAT difficult. at that vid he is 750whp i susspect it got even faster now...

This is i believe another member of the forum bu i dont remember his nick nasme here. Im very sure i remember this enginebay tho.
On the second pass he does around 6.2 seconds go after 0:33 still a 6XX whp honda tho. You did around 8 seconds. Thats still very good because you are still only at 15 psi.

Best "60-120" I have is actually not from my speedo but since we are door to door its pretty much the same:

All these videos are motivating!

Im going to hit the track this Saturday. I’ll likely be turning it up based on how it goes.

I wish they still made the drop in Omni tach for the EG! I can’t find one. They have them available for EF & EK still.

Ugh, damn it. I still needed to buy an Omni tach as well... RealStreet may have some in stock but we'd need to call them first now...

KingMotorsport had them listed up until about a month ago now I guess.

Torque might fall but hp might be okish. Plus your next gear might land on higher hp, unless your turbo very spool happy (now that im thinking about it hunter might be)

I disagree. Diminishing returns for exponentially increased risk. I've always stopped any tune at the point when torque starts to drop off faster than whatever the expected rate is after peak torque in the middle of the band.

Many hunter turbo is extremely spool happy! Full boost by 4000 rpm, on my integra I actually logged 20 psi at 4000 rpms. Love this little turbo!

Yeah the only reason I’d raise the limiter would be if I needed more mph in 4th gear to avoid shifting into 5th at the drag strip. That would only be in 4th gear though, the rest of the gears would stay at 8500.

It's for sure fun and power is definitely a slippery slope LOL. You get it and want more, you hit your goals and set faster ones it's what makes car stuff so fun!!

What size water/meth jet are you using? Is that a newer kit? Your 1 gallon tank looks quite a bit different than mine.

500cc jet. Drops afr by about 1 full point at full spray. Yeah it’s the newest one.

I got you. That turbo looks like it moves an extremely healthy amount of air judging by your fuel maps.

Thanks man. I think this little turbo is under rated haha. I’ll post up full shots of my maps when I get back home.

Here are my low & high cam fuel & ignition maps. Still haven’t messed with ignition timing much yet. Spark plugs look good and there has been absolutely zero knock when listening with my det can during pulls. Could probably add some ignition in, but I’m ok with where it’s at for now. I really need to do a pull with fresh plugs in it and shut it off at redline to read the plugs. Then I’ll have a better idea of how much ignition it needs, but I know for certain it’s safe right now.

I turned the boost up to 16psi tonight & made another video of 3rd & 4th. It definitely picked up some power with 2 extra psi, I think it’s about a full second faster 60-120mph. IAT drops about 6 degrees from the start or the pull to the end, so turbo & intercooler are happy 👍🏼 I was listening to the engine with my det can and it was smooth & quiet the whole pull.

Hitting the track tmrw. Be interesting to see what it runs on 16 psi to start.

Looks like a really efficient setup. It carries power in the top end very well. You should have a few degrees of timing left on the table considering your static compression and other factors.

It's pretty interesting when I compare your fuel curves to my own. I can definitely spot some areas I need to improve upon in my own setup as far as efficiency goes.
