Hello,

I have recently purchased a used HKS Standard Wastegate. I received the shipment yesterday and everthing looked good except that I think I have missed a part. The valve (or piston) at the inlet has a gap all around it. I belive I need the part called "base plate" from HKS in order to make a good seal, correct?

I am looking at a picture from fellow member..



I think I need the one on the right that looks like a machined flange with protruded seal ring. Can anyone help me to verify this?

Also, I happen to look at Civicdrgrcr's pictures a SFP manifold with HKS flange.. it looks like it has the base plate directly welded on the manifold as flange.. It is something that SFP did or has to be done by custom? If this can be ordered through SFP, I will likely just order it from them. Is there any other vender out there that does this as well??

sfp can source anything you need to mount that wastgate onto there manifold. When i bought my manifold they had to remove and hks flange that was there to weld on the one i needed so i know they have them.
