Default secondary o2 sensor, does vafc need to be initialzed everytime?

for those of your running an obd2 honda turbo. does anyone know if triggering the secondary 02 sensor retards timing. i know it does if the primary is triggered but not sure about the second. the car feels exactly the same.

also, does anyone know if the vafc has to be reinitialized everytime you reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery or does the vafc save the settings. if i don't have to reinitialize i'm assuming that i can just reenter all the settings.

the V-afc has some sort of backup battery, because I've unplugged my battery for a long time (like a day or so) and it kept all my settings! Gotta love that piece. HTH, -C
