I remember reading that the ARP2000(big bolt) Eagles are good for 500hp. But I have two buddies that are well over 500 with no issues.

I've made 625 on my eagles, and plan on making well over 700 later in the week when my 42r arrives

it's not so much the HP you're making, but a combination of cylinder pressure and RPM's.

one guy with a really horrible 450whp tune may shear his eagles cause he's revving to 10k and another guy with a great tune will have no troubles at 600whp and revving to 8400.

as long as you're smart about it, they'll work just fine for all but the most serious drag cars.

are you trying to say that the higher you rev the less hp you can make on eagles? Ask the guys with the 42r how much they are reving and how much power they make on eagles.

No he's saying that the abuse they will take is directly related to the amount of detonation they see more or less.

It's like any other part, it will be fine in it's intended use but when you start to lean on them hard and they see some severe detonation, they will most likely fail at a lower power level than say a Crower rod.

People have made over 900whp with them. They will work BUT sometimes people will not trust them past 600whp really. I made over 600whp on mine BUT ran them at 550whp at the track. I know of one company who has made good power on them BUT when they pull the motor doewn they put brand new Eagles in

I know InlinePro made well over 800whp with them and RLZ Engineering has made a lot of power with them as well
