Search sucks... B20 Turbo questions-
Well I remember there was a excellent thread way back on B20 turbo's-
I just picked up a HMO B20 longblock with 11k on it. I am looking for a fun turbo setup and possibly do around 350whp.
It would be a simple drag setup that goes into a 3" exhaust as well as a 57 trim turbo.
Its a P8R head, and I was planning on doing the following to it:
-Blox Intake manifold
-Crower valvetrain
-Crower 404's
-ARP studs with a new OEM HG
my questions are
1) I can just bolt on a OEM GSR timing belt and water pump correct? This wont interfere with the factory timing covers ect right?
2) With more aggressive cams such as the 402's, are aftermarket adjustable cam gears a necessity?
3) Are my power goals of 350whp realistic with said setup? Longevity is important, and its a daily driver that would be rarely getting beaten upon.
4) Any suggestions on other simple things to make it a more efficient motor without going vtec? would you run different cams? if so why?
5) Can I run the crower valvesprings alone without the retainers?
