sc61 turbo on b16 what powerband?
Im considering using a sc61 turbo on my stock b16 with CTR cams.
from what ive looked at its going to be a little bit higher end power.
I am wondering what you guys are making full boost by.
I am looking for boost at 4k to redline. Am i looking for something i cant get?
my power goals are 250whp+ with reliabilty at the most important aspect.

If you looking for 4k-redline, then get a t3/t4 with an A/R 63, and 60trim, I don't have a sc61, but my friend did, and it was at full boost at 5500, and it was laggy on his b16. I don't suggest it unless you drag a lot, and plan on going bigger than 500hp. That's might opinion, I'm sure someone else will add in theirs.

Where can i find a t3/t4 with the A/R 63 and 60 trim? I have been looking around for turbo's but cant really find a good site to get them from. What kind of power am i looking at with a sc34 at 8-10psi vs a t3/t4?

I found 3 people in 1 minute in the marketplace right here on h-tech that had the 60 trim..... look a little harder.

13psi. bone stock b16a2 motor
on 7.5psi it made 250/170 and full boost was 5500 as opposed to 6000@13psi. it doesnt really wake up till about 6500 tho

Read up more on turbos. An SC61 is classified as a T3/T4 turbocharger because it uses a T4 compressor side mated to a T3 turbine and wheel. "T3/T4" is an overly generic term and really doesn't describe the power output or powerband of a turbo at all.

Look into turbonetics, garrett, they are cheaper than precision, plus turbonetics offers a good waranty.

I personally have a SC61 on my B16 setup (not running yet tho). However, for your goals, a much smaller turbo would be best.

I've got a t3/t4 .63ar 57 trim made 256whp and 178wtq @ 9psi... so just get that turbo... most drag and rev hard kits came with this.. so... that should meet your goal of 250 hp.. later mike

Re: (slowhonduh93)
What about a .48 trim .60 A/R T3/T4 on a B16, like the one I have sitting in my garage?
Off topic, my cousin used to go to Vestal/play football there.
