saturated injectors with a resistor box
if you haven't seen my past thread- please see: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=893930
a friend told me that large saturated injectors still need a resistor box.
i have the new rc 750cc saturated, no box installed.
is this why im having fuse popping problems?

Re: saturated injectors with a resistor box (pissedoffsol)
Bump....
errr......
As one friend told me...it does need one.
Even if it doesn't need one, it wouldn't hurt anything to put one on anyways.

The resistor pack is only need to increase the ohm level back to approximately 12 ohms so that the stock injector drivers don't get too much current. The stock injector drivers should have no issues driving a larger saturated injector. I've used a set of RC 750 high impedance injectors on a car a few days ago without any issues. I recommend looking elsewhere for your fuse problem.

I read over the fuse blowing thread. One of my customer's a while back had a similar problem and was blowing fuses every now and then in his car. He ended up figuring out that it was in the o2 heater circuit. It's worth a shot to just look over it.

One of my buds was having this exact problem...he was popping his ECU fuse. It turned out to be one of the o2 sensor wires rubbing against the frame. It had scraped the insulation off and when it grounded out on the frame, it would pop the fuse.

Re: saturated injectors with a resistor box (DaX)
i just had my car tuned last week. The tuner (ralphie from DRT) was having some problems, then he installed a resister pack and was able to finish the tune. I'm using presicions 780 (i bouhgt them new for my integra). It's not a big deal anyway, you can instal it in 5min and pick it up for about $10

i had the EXACT problem. i had to check the wiring diagrams in my haynes to see what was on the circuit and then someone pointed me to someone with a similar prob. that fixed it. check alternator, vss, o2 i think those were all on the same circuit

So u were using peak and hold injectors without a resistor box?

HaHa, it took me a week to figure this out on my brother's car. He hept blowing the ECU fuse because when I let him install his own header, he left the o2 wire extension dangling.

Re: saturated injectors with a resistor box (maztur)
looking back...
when the car first ran, i had an o2 code.
turns out my harness was all cracked up and wasn't getting a good connection. no fuse issues to this point, and it made several trips around the block like this with no quams.
so we re-wired it.
then installed the walbro fuel pump.
and since, i've had this problem.
fuel pump is ruled out, since the stocker is back in
i got my money on an o2 wire
