Safest boost level for stock compression B18C1????
Pretty simple and direct, I've already boosted the Civic with it's 9.6:1 CR and 12psi, but now that I've got a turbo for the GS-R I'm trying to figure where to keep it safley set. With the Civic, 3 degrees of timing retard and 2 step colder plugs along with my 440's+ AFC was all I needed to be safley in the double digit boost levels, now of course i'm dealing with 10:1 and a head that flows alot more air than my Civic does... now I know alot of you guys have boosted B18C1's, so my concern is, would you forsee a problem with 10psi on a B18C1 and the AFC hack? Based on the dyno run from CivicRyda2K, the AFC hack runs the car VERY rich, and this would be usuing a smallish T3 as well.. so with a set of colder plugs and a couple degrees of retard, 440's and the AFC, what do you guys think?

I know this is probably not the answer you want to hear but whatever you can safely get out of the motor. And every motor/situation/setup is different.

like stated above. other's experences are not much use as every car is different, so making any decisions base on two identical cars will not yield the same results.
even if the cars follow each other off teh assembly line. its weird.

glad u decided to boost the gsr, this one should get into the 13's a bit easier.
art ran .5bar w/ 14deg base timing for a long long period of time. 7psi seems to be the popular safety zone w/ these motors but u never know, sometimes stuff just goes wrong. u can never be 100% safe.

a friend of mine boosted 10lbs with hondata on a stock block gsr, with skunk2 mani, and minor mods. he made over 300whp. i heard the block was shitty after a few months of 10lbs daily though. i think, u could do 6-7lbs. im hoping to do that until i sleeve my block.

I'm at 8psi on mine and it's an everyday driver. I've put about 5000 miles on my car since I put on the turbo and I've had no problems. I'm running the greddy kit with hondata.
