what would a safe amount whp be to shoot for with the b18c1 with 100k on it. I am planning to get it rebuilt and sleeved ect soon, but would 250- 260 whp be too much to hope for?

Not hard at all. Im at 115k miles, and its still raping the built turbo B series guys out there! Just do the regular maintenance on the car, and watch the oil. and of course, nothing more the 10psi, will be in the safe zone forawhile.
And of course TUNE TUNE TUNE IT! Goodluck

i'm shooting for 300 whp on my stock b18c1 on 140k miles. just give it a good compression and leak down test if the motor might seem kinda iffy.

i'm having a guy from bellingham do my tuning cuz a lot of HT and HMT guys say he might as well be one of the best in the area. i plan on taking my turbo to turbo tech to get the shaft rebalanced though after i get it rebuilt. i may even get in a few dynos there as well.

i would say a moderate 275 to the wheels is good eough for a daily driven car
its more then enough for the street...just pamper your car with good fluids and maintenace masicly

Dave Lee (leed) is the man and you won't find a better deal on tuning. He has tuned my car on the dyno a few times and it's still running like a champ after 14 months of me raping my car.
