is it safe to rebuild your own turbo?
my seals are leaking in my turbo and i was wondering is it safe to do a rebuild yourself? I wont be talking this on my self my buddy who has rebuilt a t25 and then put 8000 miles on it with hi sold setup will be doing the rebuild. what does everyone think?

Yeah Jon you can rebuild them yourself... i wouldn't personally but i don't like to skimp. Who would be doing the rebuild? I'm pretty sure Josh or Pat could handle the task...however i know you already know that

I'm rebuilding my own turbo... there are a few write ups out there...
I guess we will find out! I'm not scared, turbos aren't that complex.

It really isn't that hard. My dad rebuilds turbos. I have one on my car, and it hasn't leaked a drop of oil and the shaft play is perfect. Just go for it. Read up on how they work and how they go together. THere are plenty of sites that show. Sometimes they are a pain in the *** to get apart.
