safc & 550cc injectors????
Tried search, but not much help....Has anyone tried this combo and if so how has it worked out for you???I pearsonally think it can be done, but dont want to shell out the$$$ for the 550s if its not gonna work...All comments/suggestions welcome...

it will be very hard to get it down fine but i think maximum you should go should be around 480cc or soo

Assuming you are planning on the 'AFC hack', 550cc is a little on the large side. I'm using 500cc and the trim is pretty maxed out as with the AFC u can only go -50%. Can be done but I think u'll most prolly be runnig pretty rich even on max trim.

even at -40 % (minimial setting on safc) you could not lean it out enough to target a fair AFR at vac and Idle.
Just save up money and buy a hondata or another standalone and some 550's

are u guys doing your tuning on a dyno or w/ a wideband??? I tuned the safc/440s with a wideband on the street....Just wondering if anyone has actual wideband proof if they are running way rich...thanks

I use my widebacnd to street tune also and currently my trim is between 40% to 45%. On 550s you'll be close to -50 but it really depends on the rest of your setup tho as its not going to be the same for everyone.

i am using 550's and a s-afc and i have a lm-1 wideband and at idle mine is set at
-15 and i have a 14:6 to 15:1 a/f and the rest of the rpm band is set at -25 so i can get a 14:7 a/f so 550's are not to big for the afc on a honda...

Assuming your stock injectors are 240cc, there is no way you would not be running v.rich with 550cc and those afc settings....It just doesn't add up. Something ur not telling us or there is something in your setup is very different.
99lspwr - My 500s are not RCs. They call them Grey injectors here....I'm not too sure who makes them

AGREED.....Not unless there was some good w/b tuning...maybe......oh yeah, thats what I am trying to find out in the first place..

on boost the settings are at zero i am running an fmu...
what can i say i am not running rich when i first put in the wideband i was expecting it to be pig rich but to my surprise i was pretty dead on with a good a/f at idle and cruise...
