Default s2k turbo kit questions

I have always heard "avoid ebay turbo kits" but i found this one with a name brand turbo and was thinking if i just kept it on low boost (7-9psi) and slowly replace things like the intercooler piping over time. Does anyone have any experience with this? All comments are appriciated.

Here is a link to the turbo kit

thats a pretty decent basic setup. 350whp on a stock motor is what youd be looking at, and itll be fun and reliable. pay the extra $100 for the tial wastegate.

This is a Turbonetics kit that happens to be on eBay. I'd go to the original site and see what is included in terms of the turbocharger first before putting $2K on something like this. Make sure you're properly INFORMED of what this kit has.. It's just too vague as it sits.

You're basically buying an extra CAR here. would you do that online without checking out what's under the hood first, or what's in it?

well the manifold looks like cast log junk with some sloppy welds at the head flange, Hopefully that's a good core in the i/c. The intercooler piping isnt a big deal its all sort of the same as long as it fits. I say buy it and call us for a really nice hand made sch 40 manifold mani and it can come with your choice of wastegate flanges but i recomend doing a tial mvr 44 so you can really target boost without creep. we can also make them for twin scroll turbos with devided flanges and 2 wastegates.. Please call if interested! Lovefab 231-499-3912

Has a cast manifold, they are all just fine for a 350 whp set up, some have better waste gate placement than others, but they are fine. Only things you should do with this kit is replace the waste gate and blow off with some quality pieces and you will be set.
