??'s about going turbo on LS/VTEC
I was looking into Package 5 from Import Builders and had some questions I wanted to ask you guys that run turbos on LS/VTEC's.
First off, would it hurt to go 85mm sleeves since it's no extra charge?
What will I be able to rev to with this fully built bottom end and built cylinder head?
What is the reliability of doing a turbo on an LS/VTEC from doing one on a GSR?
If you guys have any more info on this subject that can help me out, PLEASE post.
Thanks, Michael

Re: ??'s about going turbo on LS/VTEC (speedy108)
I would not suggest going 85mm unless you are prepared to throw that motor out after it blows. Most people do not try to go past 85mm bore (On a turbo motor)because of head gasket issues. Also Turbo motors make peak power at a lower rpm than an all motor car. My Turbo motor only makes power up to 8500 rpm. If you want a high revving motor I would suggest to go All Motor. An Ls/Vtec motor has a lot more torque than a Full GSR.

Thanks for the reply on the bore size. Where do I get a headgasket for a 84mm bore? Cometic?

Cometic would in my opinion be the gasket to get, however I have seen some people be happy with their Stock Honda head gasket for a b20.
