Default Running larger injectors with a stock ECU? Searched and was unsuccessful.

ok im planning on boosting 7-10psi, and im going with the well known 12:1 fmu, 255lph hp pump crap to start with. Im thinking of also adding 370' or 550cc saturated injectors. so would the stock ecu basically render the larger injectors worthless, or would the fmu or stock ecu allow the injector to flow as advertised?

thanks

you need some kind of fuel management to control 550s

if you want to run higher than stock injectors and still run an fmu you would need to change the ratio from 12:1. i think you can swap out the discs and go for something like a 6:1 for 4:1 with 370's. imo, i would not upgrade the injectors unless i would be able to upgrade the fuel management at the same time to say either hondata or uberdata.

This setup is what I run on my turbo gsr
255 high flow intank pump, safc hack. on 9psi 11.5 a/f, which is a cheap and work out perfect. beside, this setup may also enough for up to 14psi or more.

"no need FMU and inline fuel pump"

This sounds good for up high, but down low, wouldn't your idle suffer horribly??

First I wouldn't recomend that much boost on a fmu. Start with about 5-6psi until you learn the ropes.
If you do upgrade your injectors, you can go as high as 310cc before you have idle problems. The stock ecu can compensate for the 310cc injectors.
With the 310's I would recomend either a 6:1 or 8:1 fmu. You'll need to hook it up to a wideband o2 to see which one will give you the better afr. each set-up is different

OK, I am piecing together a kit for my gsr. I want to run 550s and hondata, but after the intitial install I will need to drive at least the 5 hour trip to the tuner.

So I should do the install, and run a 12:1 FMU with stock injectors to the tuner, and install the 550s and hondata there? Is that the best plan of attack?

Yeah if you have a fmu already then I would install it and drive to the tuner. Once at the tuner you can then install the injectors.
Another option would be to have them load a base map for you to run the 550's on.
