Running high boost is the Apexi Skyline GTR intercooler good enough ???.......
Hello... I am planning on running about 20-25psi of boost almost daily drivin... Just wondering if that intercooler can hold up>> Cause I read on the XS eng. website that its not good for high boost apps... If not then what do u guys reccommend... thanks

The A'PEXi Skyline GT intercooler...not good for high boost?
Then what the hell is it good for?
Of course it is...Where on the site does it say that it is not?

Honda people go so overboard with intercooler sizing.
You guys see the 10-second DSM guys and the cores they use? They're all pretty much DRAG 3 intercooler sizes, just 3 inches deep.

APEXI SKYLINE GT-R INTERCOOLER CORE
The Apex intercooler core features the hybrid fin design to allow airflow through the core. This same hybrid fin design also looks really cool in front of your car. This intercooler is great for a street car, but we do not recommend it for use on high boost applications exceeding 22psi. Normally $785, on special for $588.
Call our office and mention the website special on Apex part number 531-A020

i went from a drag to this apexi core and made 50 more whp.the apexi actually made 10 more psi because it was not as restrictive as the drag.

Damn, you can afford to use race gas in your daily driver? How could you possibly consider having a car that runs 25 PSI and not know about intercoolers lol

i smell bullshit . 20-25 daily driven ?
everytime I see a post like this I think to myself WHY?
if your not on slicks then you don't have traction at those kinds of boost levels.
And to the creator of this thread, you need a reality check, 15 PSI on a B-series makes some silly power and you want 10 more?!?!

The guy that put my car together had a full race car and ran the apexi intercooler, then sold it to me! Its nice! BTW, he ran 30 psi

he probably ran 30 psi on a 12g turbo he pulled from a tricycle

psi means ****. cfm's means the world.
1 psi on a t-444 turbo would probably = the power of a 14g at 25 psi.
boost is relative, power is not
