Default Running FMU but What Ratio???

whats up everyone i have a simple question and this might be simple math but im too lazy to figure it out haha. im gonna be running only up to 10lbs of boost and im running a Blox FMU and as most know they come in 4:1 6:1 8:1 10:1 an 12:1 ratio so im hoping someone can help me out which would be best for up to 10 lbs. i have been told from a friend that 10:1 would probably be my best bet but what do you guys think?

What did your friend run for an fmu? Maybe he can give you some insight. Engine management would be a lot better however.

450s+stock ecu will not work. Atleast get a vafc if you've already got the 450s.

I also know a guy who sucessfully ran a stock GSR w/o ANY fuel management (vafc, fmu, basemap chip). Doesn't mean I'd ever do it.

For the price of an FMU and VAFC, you could get soemthing like Crome + full street tune. It would run better in every respect. Hell, if you drove down to Oconomowoc, I'd do a basic street tune for the price of a new Blox FMU, assuming it's OBD1.

get a chipped ecu atleast... i dont even think a stock ecu will even let you go into boost... the fmu is a bad idea i had one and hated every day of the month i had it on until i got my resistor box for my dsm's...oh and 10 psi isnt the same for all turbos man so just saying im gonna be running 10psi doesnt really say much

yeah man.. running a fmu is just being cheap and lazy and you'd need a missing link to hid boost from map sensor and your just hurting the car.. get a chipped ecu and get a tune and your car will run so much better.
