It kills a bit of mid range, but helps alot top end SAE smoothing 5 https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif https://static.summitracing.com/glob...vc-19002_w.jpg http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku for the 3 inch inlet or 2.75 inch boys, I think everyone should run one of these on the dyno, when they dyno tune My friend let me baseline for free today to compair dyno's with the place that dynoed my car before, it's a inground, roller style, i have videos can anyone host them? So i wanted to test the RS Akimoto velocity stack on my last free run, might as well it's free. DNR Performance Hayward Dyno 510 783-5200 Call if u want to setup a baseline or dyno tuning https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif 1st run 275 241tq becuase after 7200 my tires spun on the dyno haha Nice, fix the way the car is sitting on the dyno, no more spin 2ed run 301whp and 222tq 3ed run run the RS Akimoto velocity stack went to 307whp and 222tq 6whp in the power band just adding a stack on my turbo inlet, not bad https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif the same is the same as i had it before, i just changed my wires to ngk wires. STILL 15 psi on 91 OCT GAS https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif I have the dyno chart, but it's DRF format, if someone can make it a jpeg for me let me know FYI TECH3 was 301whp and 225tq same setup Very much on, both dynos read lower as well, but are very accurite. I need someone to covert the DRF files to jpeg so i can post them up SO i can POST THE DYNO, Can someone Convert the DRF Dyno Files to JPEGS! I can sen d them via email to u Modified by Quad-Damage at 10:58 AM 4/12/2006 Modified by Quad-Damage at 1:48 PM 4/12/2006 Modified by Quad-Damage at 1:48 PM 4/12/2006 Modified by Quad-Damage at 1:48 PM 4/12/2006 Modified by Quad-Damage at 2:02 PM 4/12/2006 |

Re: (JDM_Risa)
Were you using a turbo with an anti-surge housing or a standard housing? I can't see a velocity stack adding power to a turbo with a ported housing.
|
Re: (The Original Whitey)
Whatever comes with a normal SC34
|
Re: (The Original Whitey)
Did you use the velocity stack on the first run?
|
Re: (Mach69)
no
Pics are up I was just messing around and did no changes and no smooth POWER haha https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f...akenumbers.jpg |
Re: (Quad-Damage)
so are you running an air filter?
|
Re: (jfoster)
I run a custom K&N Filter Daily
Graph 2 is stright off the Turbo NO Filter Graph 3 is a V Stack off the Turbo No Filter |
Re: (Quad-Damage)
any pics of a turbo with that stack on it?
|
Re: (b18sihatch)
nice but u should have done 1 run with the filter on, 1 run without the filter, and 1 run with the VS. exspecially since it's been proven the running a filter adds more hp the running without.

Re: RS Akimoto velocity stack ADD WHP DYNO PROVEN! (Quad-Damage)
well anything that is giving air a better direct flow is going to give better numbers, but yea comparing the stack to a air filter would prolly be one in the same as far as mechanicial purposes (giving the turbo direct air flow) but i wonder if the stack gives the turbo more air, in a sense that the turbo is sucking air without the stack its just sucking, but with the stack its giving it some direction to the turbo?
