Default RPM Gauge is jumping...

Hi, I have a '94 Integra GSR, JRSC 10.8psi with a S200.

I trie diferent maps to have one that I can use as a base for tunning, but I have a problem in the RPM reading in all:

- At 5,000 rpm I have a little jump at little trothle, it is solve pushing the trothle a little more.

- At 6,000 rpm my rpm gauge start to be crazy, it start to jump 500 rpm up or down, and at 7,000 rpm it start making jumps that can go to 3,000 rpm and return to the reading. In this situation, the car can't pass 7,400 rpm (I have the rpm limit set in 9,200 and boost cut at 12.5psi)

I need help and ideas to make a troubleshuting.

Thanks in advance,

Dariusz

My friend's Apexi tach jumps like crazy too...but not his stock tach. Maybe the Apexi is grounded poorly?

Check all engine grounds...I had the problem and it was the ground from the engine harness to the thermostat housing.

My Defi tach does this too. Guess I'll check the ground wires. Thanks!

I think the same, adn the other possible is that the rotor make a interferetion with the MSD cables (the two one that go out the distributor cap).

Thanks all for the help
