Ross Racing Pistons - FI app GROUP BUY
We at HondaSaver can set up a group buy for some Ross 81.5mm -6.1cc and -11.9cc dish pistons.
Pistons feature:
-Ultra tight machining tolerance (easily within 0.0001")
-Ross File Fit Racing Rings with low friction Moly top ring (made by ACL of Australia)
-4340 Alloy Steel Tapered Pins (specially used for FI apps)
-Forced fed pin oiling
-Red Moly Pin lube
-Sprial pin locks
-More material between the intake valve reliefs and top ring land (for more strength in FI apps)
-Throrough but somewhat complicated instructions for proper installation.
Here is a pic for you reference (these are my 12.5 pistons)

Dude, that's a cool website you've got started on there! And I'm probably in, do you have a timeframe for when this needs to happen?

Re: Ross Racing Pistons - FI app GROUP BUY (mplex2000)
No time frame, it all depends on how soon the orders will come in.
I worked out a deal with Ross for a price break if I order 5 sets. Dealing with Ross has been the coolest experience.

Awesome...so now it's time to ask for some advice. I'm use to taking a small block and boring it .030 over no matter what. What's good for a D16Y8? I've pretty much decided to have it sleeved, so when I do that, what do you think the best size is to use for bore? Stock or other? I might not have it sleeved, so if I get larger than stock pistons, I'll need to be able to use them in bored stock cylinders without fear of breaking the little motor (or any more fear than ususal).

If you go FI then stick close to stock bore. If you go N/A then you may want to go bigger to get some more displacement(power) on a sleeved block.

Rocket,
Does Ross make 9.1:1 (stock compression) pistons for the d16a6 (turbo application)? If so I might be interested.
Thanks,
-Seth

Re: Ross Racing Pistons - FI app GROUP BUY (TheShocker)
They make any piston from 70mm to 100mm.
The 81.5mm pistons mentioned in the above post are shelf pistons are available immediately. All other sizes for Hondas will be individually made so I can specify any dome dish size you want.

Re: Ross Racing Pistons - FI app GROUP BUY (Rocket)
Thanks for the info. How long will you be able to get these prices? Are you still willing to do the same pricing a couple months down the line if you have 5+ buyers?

How much for a package deal on...
Ross Pistons: 84mm bore, 10:1 compression mounted on eagle rods for a B16A
This is for an FI application, so let me know if the compression ratio is too high...

I can package a deal but only for people who are already customers. You know these prices are pretty low and margins are very thin.

hey rocket, what kinds of things can you get for me, im going turbo and you seem to have good prices. we'll see if you can beat or match any of my quotes...
EDIT: Rocket, how much do you think these pistons will be able to hold power wise on a 9.8 cr on a b18c1? would you warranty it in any way? Whats your price for the JE pistons?
