Default Ross Pistons, Pins and Rings

Can someone give me feedback on these...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...873086648&rd=1

I've been told the pins are a weak link. Also, I was thinking of the -6.1 cc which is roughly 9.4:1 on a B16 VTEC head. Is this a good compression for turbo?

The ross pistons that we used had a .866" wristpin instead of the typical .827" pin. This makes for a stronger pin but a weaker piston. In reality though, you won't see any of those problems unless you are making over 700hp.

I saw you putting them together in the Turbo mag. The story was by Chris and it has you, bob, and kenny on it.

yeah, Tony always looks hot just wearing his wife beaters. But thats why everyone should not beleive everything thats in the magazines. Lets face it, you will pretty much never get the full story.

Ross has beena round since the muscle car era...great pistons. People use to use them in super High Compression V8's big *** dome pistons.

Good input guys but how about the compression. Is 9.4:1 (the Ross) a good happy medium between running aspirated until the turbo spools up and also during boost? Is 10.5:1 (the current JE) too high for boost?

im gonna be using the 10.5:1 pistons in my FI setup...i dont plan on running insane amounts of boost though, and the comp. should be slightly lower when all is said and done...but with the right tuning and setup, i hope to hit 15-18 psi or so at the track..

the way i figure is that the higher comp. pistons will make the same power on lower boost, so i wont have to risk as much when i boost lower and its tuned well...just my .02
