Rookie GSR turbo build!!!!!
ok so im kinda new to the whole turbo honda thing. In the process of building my gsr block and I had a few questions...would it be safe to run 10.5 compression forged pistons with scat rods on a turbo set up that consists of a gsr block with b16 head?? last question is that the hell is a resistor box??? I purchased a set of 550 dsm injectors and from research i found out that I need to use a resistor box. Again I have a b16 head...thanks!!!!!!

Take it from a Rookie himself who did a turbo job. It is always best to have it tuned pro even if you don't have the money. $400 could save your $3500 motor.

Although it can be done with a spot on tune, if I were you I would use a bit lower compression... especially for your 1st build. I would suggest perhaps 9:1 or 9.8:1 etc. since running 10.5:1 leaves a VERY small window for things such as a boost spike or bad tank of gas...
...but of course all of ht now knows that since its 2007, its perfectly fine to run 14:1 compression and 30 psi of boost using a gt42r with 1.5L of displacement and 87 octane gas that has sat for a year... ha ha
Good luck to you and unless you have unlimited funds better to be safe than sorry... Dont forget the old saying : Fast, Cheap, Reliable... you can have any 2 that you want.
