Default ROD BOLTS BREAKING?

Recently i built a new ls motor from the ground up and turboed it. THe shop fucked up on the oil return and took the oil pressure sensor off. While driving the fitting they were supposed to weld up and didnt leaked all the oil out, and since the sensor had been takin off i didnt know it ran out. It started knockin then blew. The shop is telling me that it wasnt due to lack of oil but that the rod bolts snapped. If properly torqued and everything and driven easy like no boost and never revving above 3 grand what would make them break???

Any help would be appreciated

you cant break rod bolts a 3k rpm unless they were over stretched at install and you have really really bad luck

starvation of oil killed your motor plain and simple, but to clarify something, when that little genie light comes out saying you have no oil pressure its basically to late to shut it down anyways. usually that comes on when the motor is completely out of oil and the damage has already been done. get your self a oil pressure gauge and then you know whats going on sooner but not much.

Definitely the shop's fault. Hondas just don't live without oil
