road tuning Hondata?
I have a b18b which has been tuned but I wanted to refine the tune if possible without paying a tuner. I have the Hondata s200 and I wanted to know what I need to be able to tune my car, What software do I need and where can i get it, also how hard is it and is it worth my while? This is my Dyno chart:
What gains do you think i could make?
Im running an: LS/Vtec at 6.9psi
with a t3/t4 .57 trim
SSAutocrap manifold
21x6x2.75 FMIC
Typhoon "Type R" intake manifold
RC 550cc injectors
Hondata s200
Tial "Style" external 38mm wastegate
Custon 2.5" downpipe
custom Intercooler piping
81.5mm bore
and at the time my lost motion assemblies were sticking but i have since cleaned the varnish out of them and they seem to be better.
Opinions?

Re: (93turbo16)
sorry, I thought I had the air fuel mixture posted.... turns out i dont even have em on my computer. So you think its best to just leave it to pros... My main concerns with my dyno chart is my VTES crossover, it seems...... well........long..

Re: road tuning Hondata? (Targa4Life)
if you dont have the hondata software it will cost you 200 bucks to get it i think....so it might be easier/cheaper to get it done by a tuner or else look into uberdata...basically the same thing just free and you dont need that blue box

you'll need the rom editor v3 software, datalogging, romulator, a wideband O2 sensor, and the pocket programmer to get the job done.
Widebands are like $500 (give or take a bit)
Goto hondata.com for the prices on the other 4 items.

why do u need the pocket programmer? i thought u need the editor, romulator, data logger (now included), and a laptop to run it all by...whats the pocket programmer even do?

Re: road tuning Hondata? (LSTEG96)
you need the programmer so that when you are done tuning you can burn that file to your little chip (just like they did when they gave you a base map). Really its only use is to burn files to the chip.
Actually, what you may be able to do is tune everything on your own. Save the file, then save it to a disk or email it to yourself or something. Then just go to the place that burned your base map and ask them to burn that file you tuned to your chip. They may or may not do it (but it takes literally only 60 seconds or less)

You need:
http://www.moates.net/product_...id=48
and
http://hondata.com/romeditor.html
And you're set. You can get away without using the romulator. Just burn chips when you make changes. It's not as annoying as it sounds.

Romulator is an emulator. It "pretends" to be a chip ... and you can program it in "real time" to allow for "real time" tuning.
To burn chips, you need a chip burner. For example, the moates BURN1 that I listed.

haha its only expensive when you start to try and do it yourself.....
You need the Romulator to tune the car (it is what connects your laptop to your ECU). Enough said on that.
Now, once you are finished tuning you will save that file on your desktop or where ever. Well you can't just disconnect the Romulator and call it a day. That little black chip needs to have that new file burnt on it so you can retain your changes. This is when you use the Pocket Programmer. You hook it up to your computer, stick your chip on it and burn the file to your chip. Noooow you may put the chip back in your ECU and call it a day.
It's the same process used for dyno tuning (or any tuning for that matter). If you already have hondata, it would be useless and a time consuming to switch to Uberdata because you would have to retune all over again.
