Rings are dead.. But can it still hold out?
I overboosted and the rings let loose. The car wont hold boost anymore and when it boosts 2-3lbs it looses power and a big gufp of smoke comes out the exhaust. As long as i keep it under 3,000 and dont punch it. it doesnt smoke at all. Do you think i can let it last for atleast a month until i get the new bottomend together and in the car? I wanna make sure i get things right before putting a fresh bottomend in it.
--- can i make it last another month as long as i dont boost. only smokes while in boost---

TRY! Then tell us..
I think it could work, but you never know if the rings are still getting worse and worse. If they are getting worse, eventually you won't hold any compression at all and you won't have any power at all.
