Rico892002 B series to K series turbo build
Hey guys, haven't been on HT in a while and decided to start a build thread on my ek coupe. The car started out with a built gsr turbo set up with a precision 6266 car made right at 600whp on e85. 3 years later the stock sleeves decide to let go. After that I didn't really know if I wanted to stay B series or switch to K. Got a good deal on a k20 swap, and decided to pursue that build.
The cracked sleeve
The day I picked up the swap!
I guess this the reason why I got the swap so cheap lol. I tore the engine apart and saw this. I wasn't mad tho, because I got everything for $700 bucks, from a buddy of mines that didn't really know the condition of the engine. I mean for 700 bucks the tranny was worth that to me. The only thing I was able to save was the crankshaft and the accessories. I ordered a new block from eBay, and had Rob from humble performance send me a new head.
Moving forward, I just decided build the engine, and my goal is to make about 650-700whp. The car is still a street car. I mainly do roll racing in the car. I'm originally from Indiana and moved to Texas so that pretty big out here. Here's more picture of me putting everything together. Not going to make a huge list of parts, if you guys have questions let me know.
Can't go wrong with wrinkle black
Added a -10 bung for oil drain and painted the oil pan, came out nice!
Almost there
Done!!
This is some of the parts I decided to use for the build
I decided to keep the stock ek subframe so i used the ekk1 v2 mounts
Decided to run the PLM sidewinder, got a good deal on it. People are seeming to have good luck with them so why not.
More parts ACT Xtream pressure plate with 6 puck. Will be switch to twin disc when this fail. You guess get the point on parts lol.
Soo in the process I decided to paint the engine bay while everything was out. Decided to go with flamingo black pearl with a lil extra pearl.
Came out pretty good!
Wet!!
Before and after.
Time to go in!
I started doing all the wiring for the charge harness, engine harness, and dash conversion harness
And we have power!!
This thing is filthy!! Has been sitting for a lil over a year now
This is currently how the car is sitting now, what's left to
-install intercooler and fab all the piping
-buy 2000cc injectors
-buy hondata kpro
-mount radiator and fan
-run fuel lines
And other lil miscellaneous things that I have laying around. Car should be up and running next month.
If any of you guys would like to follow the build, you can follow me on my Instagram Reeks219. I will try me best to keep you guys updated. Thanks HT!

Re: Rico892002 B series to K series turbo build
Me too! Your car always been a lil motivation for me, even when u had the all motor b series set up lol.
The only issue I'm second guessing myself on is running stock cams with the rbc intake manifold. I think right at mid 600 I'm going to have some restrictions up top and power is going to fall off.

I need to find out what I want to do, before I start making intercooler piping. Might just keep the rbc. I'm getting impatient.
