RHD civic eg with blown turbo swap. need some advice
Ok guys I need some good advice here. I have recently had a terrible misfortune with my lsvtec turbo swap. Not to long ago I had some lean issues with this swap and finally got it resolved. Well at least I thought I did. Well after getting the car off the alignment machine I took it out to drive to see if it would pull as bad as it did. Did I launch the car NO. Was I getting on it YES, I was trying to see if it would pull when getting into boost because thats when it would lose control, then it happened, cylinder 1 detonated and now I have a car sitting in my garage again. It took me a year to build this car and I was not even finished. I have gotten some great advice from someone who knows the car and knows me best but I would just like a few more opinions from those of you who have run into this type of mishap. Should I rebuild? Can I reuse any of what I have? Do I just sell and go on? Sell the turbo setup and buy a swap? etc....In the end I realize it's a personal decision so I guess what I am looking for is help in deciding if I rebuild what options I may have with what I currently have in this car. Thanks. Please no wise cracks simply because I just don't feel its necessary. I haven't taken short cuts nor rushed this car. I tried to make logical purchases and have tons of brand new parts on this swap. It's no half *** build job
