Revhard FMIC.. this thing is HUGE!
ok, i knew this thing was big but i compared it to stan's(flamenco) Drag3 and mine is like duoble the size. I have a few questions
a)anyone isntall this front mount yet? is it hard to fit behind the bumper?
b)is it effecient at low boost? im just afraid this intercooler doesnt really start making extra power till high boost, which would make it pointless for me since i will never run high boost(like over 15psi)..
c)if incase this mic is too big, anyone wanna trade the old revhard one plus cash?

keep in mind... there is abosolutely no point in having an IC any larger than the opening in your bumper cover... by using it ... you arent getting any advantages over using a smaller one.... but you still have the negative effect of a larger amount of pressure drop by using the larger IC.
Either get one that fits the hole.... or cut out the bumper the size of the IC

Heh..
I installed my last weekend.. and yes.. it doesn't fit too well..
you REALLY need to relocate the oil cooler, as well as the A/C lines, because
if you don't.. you'll end up like me (and have to cut ALOT of the bumper out).
Also, if you don't mount it close enough to the radiator, the IC piping will not
fit correctly.. I found this out the hard way, and had to get part of the IC piping
cut and re-welded. There's also one IC joint that is at about 170deg instead
of straight...
You also have to cut the metal bracket which holds up the bumper lights...
All in all, it took me awhile to fit things right... and even then.. I HAVE to
get a lip, because the IC sticks about 2 inches lower than the stock bumper...

It will fit just fine. Chris, your IC is the same width as mine, but your IC is gonna be just a tad longer. Dont worry we'll make it fit..

Yeah.. In All, the WHOLE kit fits without modifications, if you do it right the first time... I was just too lazy to drill more holes into the front bumper to relocate the IC, as well as to bend the A/C and oil cooler lines too much...
The reason it took me so long to install the kit was because I didn't have the proper
tools... As well as just being TOO careful. Funny thing is at the end, I read through the Revhard manual (and the Drag3 manual), and it is EXACTLY as it
says on there.. heh..

make sure you have a Dremel, and a drill with some power. Those battery powered Makitas dont have the umph you'll want to drill the holes for the FMIC. Get a drill that has a cord.

Definitely a dremel and tips that grind metal... Also, a dremel with more power is
definitely better. Also, I recommend some rubber gloves, and non porous clothing.
I am head to toe covered with little metal splinters...
Also, you'll need a deep socket for the oil pressure sender (to take it off)..
Also, get some liquid wrench, and go ahead and spray it on the exhaust bolts
BEFORE you even begin... I had to wait a whole day to get them bolts off... Would
have been ALOT easier if I could jack the car higher, but I only have 2' jack stands.
Definitely get some RTV Blue silicone and a NEW oil pan gasket..
Go to Radio Shack and buy a wiretap and wire... I bought a soldier iron and
loop connectors for the wires...
The bolting on of the turbo manifold is tough, but I found it was not that big
and issue if you had a plain wrench(with a closed grip) as well as a socket wrench.
I got to those bolts on the bottom of the manifold just easily. Pivoting extensions
helped out as well.
Good flood lamps, and a flash light are a must... head mounted light would have been great for under the car stuff.
