Revhard Fitament Issues for D16...Any advice?
I just now got around to installing my revhard manifold, turbo (Garrett actually), downpipe, wastegate, etc. When installing it with my brother, everything is a complete bitch to put on. The fit is VERY tight when putting the turbo on and the downpipe comes close to the AC compressor.
My real problem is how close the turbo inlet is to the clutch hydraulic assembly and that the downpipe fits horrible. Is this normally how Revhard stuff fits? I planned on getting a bigger turbo down the road once my engine gets built but I am not sure I will be able to and keep my AC and PS? Am I the only one that is going through this with the Revhard stuff?
Here are some pictures of what I am talking about:
First the turbo inlet. Damn is that close.
Another shot.
Now, the downpipe. It just doesn't fit. We are going to have to make something a little better because it hits the oil pan. Here are some pictures of what I am talking about. Not that big of a deal, just a pain in the ****.
Also, anybody know where I can get a 3" flex pipe?
I am also looking for a Tial wastegate flange so I can make my Dumptube.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Tell me about it. It is how it came delivered. Only thing I did was have it jet hot coated.

lots of peopels turbos are near the tranny like that. most then just cover it with mesh and a hose clamp, maybe some filter element sandwiched in there too. for the DP, get someone with an acetylene torch to make it red hot and bend it dow a little, then get flexpipe (at a tractor supply store) and ur set..

Hmmm... my compressor is almost in the same spot... its pretty close ot the clutch hard line, but I was able to get a coupler on there and the pipe for the filter.
p.s. I got a flange if you need one

How big of a turbo can I put on here without it hitting?

Bump for the day to see if anyone else has some ideas about what to use for a air filter pipe.
Also, has anybody replaced their AC fan with a thin one? I am about to order a thin one for the radiator but I wanted to know if people have switched out the AC one for more turbo room.
Thanks.
