Reversed superchargers: I just proved it can be done.
I just did it with an Ecotec blower.
The proof is now history. For years I knew that the s/c's that we have access to, which are typically factory s/c's, can be reversed to accomodate the backward's spinning Honda engines. You simply have to have the opposite rotor turning.
So what this means is that you have the potential to go out and get damned near any supercharger from any OEM car that is not a reverse spinning engine, and flip either the drive pulley to the other rotor.
This does work, so now you're not limited to the JRSC blower. Presto!
P.S.- BDS and I have already determined that over 400hp can easily be obtained with a small 4-71 or even as large as a 6-71 blower spinning very slowly, which in turn reduces parasitic efficiency LOSSES. The blower world really is wide open, but you'll have to note that you must keep the temperatures down. On the other hand, a larger supercharger spinning slowly will not allow the temp's to climb nearly as high as the same supercharger spinning faster. A large supercharger will create boost very easily since it has more internal area allowing for more flow, which is why you'd need to spin it slowly. As mentioned, this truly has its own great benefits.

What you'd need to do is press off the drive gear from one rotor and flip flop it with the gear on the other rotor and rotate the end plate snout to turn it. Perhaps this wasn't clear in my first post.
In deed, you can make it happen.

So, what have you done to ACTUALLY test your idea? Until you've done dynamic testing, you really haven't proven anything.

RMcDaniels and Magnum Powers have already proven this, and it was never really in doubt. They reversed the drive on an M90 to go with the B series blower kit they are producing:

The whole idea is that someone with some crafty know how can bolt up a blower to his Honda without having to look beyond OEM parts, nor do they have to look for a kit. That is, if they're crafty enough.
Mad props to rmcdaniels. I've read plenty of his posts. So no, i'm not surprised someone threw up some of his work in this thread. lol

I suppose my whole deal is that i'm not bragging about being able to reverse a blower since that's elementary, and common sense will tell you that it'll work. lol
I'm simply relaying the fact that "Hey, if you have nothing and want a blower, you can get one from something like an earlier model supercharged GM vehicle and reverse it's rotation so it'll work for your Honda.
That's all, and for those who are grasping for some new options or ideas, then hopefully this helps you.

Exactly. I would say "nice work," but I haven't seen any evidence of work.
This thread is worthless without pics.

Something is not proven until you have factual evidence and tests to support your conclusion. Starting a thread based on the fact that you thought about how it could be done does not mean that you proved it can be done. As many others have already stated, this has been proven years ago by someone else anyway. Next time, dont waste thread space unless you have pics of the supercharger you modified, along with dyno sheets of the results. Sorry to come off as an a**hole but lately there has been a lot of useless threads and it gets annoying to the people that actually use this site for research and to help others.
