Default Results from running with too much ignition timing

We had a perfect air/fuel ratio in our tune-up but some how the ignition map got pushed to 30 degrees advance. The CRX ran strong until about the 1000' mark and the motor just nosed over. Still ran 156 mph on the run but this was the results...

The before picture

BTW, our regular tuner did not do this...

The Pauter rod looked like a candle with aluminum drippings running down the side

DAMN that is SCARY! My buddy tuned his car to 590whp but to get their they played with the ignition timing, YEAH it melted a piston too, had to go from 81.5mm to 84.5mm . Good luck the rest of the year and only let Ben tune your ****.

No, the 30 degrees was not done on purpose.

Did you hear it knocking/detonating by any chance? I guess in this case it wouldnt have mattered, going that fast with that much HP.

I buffed off all the aluminum from the Pauter and it looks new. No blueing of the metal and pin fit is still perfect. Got to love the Pauter
