Replacing Precision IC to Bring Back Foglights in EK, Which IC to get?
Hey there, I have a 00 Si with a turbo kit I pieced together. I'm currently only running 7lbs on a bone stock B16. I purchased my intercooler without thinking about the interference with the OEM fog lights so now I have beautiful piping in the huge open holes left from the foglights. Well I want my foglights back so I am selling the Precision and replacing it with an IC that doesn't have the inlet/outlets out the middle but with the inlet/outlet out the bottom. I'm not looking to drop too terribly much money, more looking to break near even after selling my Precision (350hp rated, 2.5" Inlet/Outlet, 26.75" Wide, 6.25" Tall, 3.5" thick). Right now I am thinking of picking up a DRAG IC. My question is.. Will the quality of the intercooler have that big of an effect on my setup? I dyno'd 230hp and 160ftlb torque. I'm only running seven pounds but am planning on doing ITR/CTR cams, valvesprings, and upping the boost to 10 or 12 pounds this summer *funds pending*. I also found an 8" tall JRC intercooler, but the endtanks are about an inch or so from the bottom, which may be too much for my foglights not to fit. Any input?

Yea the 350hp one that is symmetrical, this is what I'm currently dealing with (couplers aren't home depot couplers anymore hahah, that was temp to get it on the streets til the others were shipped in).. Hmm, interesting. I don't know why I didn't think to look into the Treadstone intercoolers. The TR6 would be a pretty nice fit for my application.... I don't quite know the sufficiency differences between intercoolers but... How do you like your Treadstone there Mitchell? Any thoughts on how the Treadstone would compare to the DRAG intercooler?

Ehh, not the best pictures for what your asking but this is all I have here... Yea USDM. When I was installing, I had no interference at all with the windshield wiper tank. How about your feelings on your treadstone? Did you have to cut the lower bracket off your foglights? You pretty much have me sold at the moment, I like the inlet/outlet size better than the DRAG, wouldn't have to buy new couplers which would be nice..
