removing secondary butterflies for boost?
i was wondering if removing the secondary butterfly valves on my gsr intake manifold would help gain any power? or even remove the whole middle section of the manifold. my car showed a little gain leaving them open all the time, so i thought it would be even better with them completely off. do you guys think it would make big enough of a difference to have to retune the car? and would it still be possible to pass smog with out them?

If you took them off you would just introduce weird eddies and other turbulent flow problems into the manifold.

Mines left open and sure enough, it runs like a champ. You wont know the outcome till you actually tried it. Let us know if you actually removed the whole thing.
