Default Ready to install soon, any tips? Greddy Turbo

I am also searching on this topic, but soon I will be installing a full greddy kit w/ FMIC and blue box on a 97 HX with a EX swap.

I still need to pick up a boost guage and timer. Are there any other guages I should pick up now, or can they wait?

Also as far as prep, I've heard about retarding my timing - how many degrees is suggested? What oil weight?

Please dont tell me to get hondata and junk the blue box, I dont plan to up boost, at least not yet, it is still a mainly stock motor.

And lastly as far as the PCV line and IAT sensor - how did you mount these?

i would like to know why your greddy kit doesn't come with any holes or nipples for the pvc and the IAT sensor?

also doesn't it tell you to put it before the turbo???? i'm really pissed that greddy gives such **** instructions... i would like to know how they expect people to hook up those 2 lines...

Well the kit really isnt made for the Y8, the Z6 doesn't use a IAT i believe, but as far as the PCV, i'm not really sure.

Edit: Actually it was Marauder that mentioned hooking up the IAT in the tube before the turbo, so i guess i have to tap a hole for the PCV too

You do not need to retard the timing. The blue box takes care of everything at the STOCK boost setting. If you want to run higher boost then you will need to retard the timing

For the IAT just drill a hole in your intake pipe, pre turbo and get a rubber grommet. mine fits nice and snug.

As far as the PCV i just bought a catch can. Sealed off the nipple on the IM and ran the catch can to the Intake Pipe as well.

Right now my crankcase breather is just venting to atmosphere ... too lazy to make another hole for it in the intake pipe.
