Default RCREW SFWD EG 600 whp

Just got off the dyno today at 9 pm. Made 602 whp but still had some misfiring issues. Wish I could have printed out the sheet to show you guys today, but that will have to wait for tomorrow. On friday I'll be tuning some more, and possibly put in a better fuel pump. It can still make more for sure, as the ignition timing hasn't even been touched at the higher boost levels, and then there's always more boost.

*full specs*

"block"
1800cc 81.5mm GE sleeved GSR block
crower rods
??? compression endyn pistons polydyn coated
balanced & micropolished crank itr balancer
oem honda bearings
toda belt

"head"
GSR endyn ported
SS exhaust valves
webcam valvetrain
96' ITR cams
Skunk2 ported intake manifold
stock gsr throttle body

"efi & fuel"
Motec M800
CDI-8 mercury marine coils
5 bar map
1600 cc injector
walboro 255 (gonna change this ASAP)
Stock fuel line from tank to filter then -6 AN to the rail (going to change to -10)
GM boost solenoid (under full motec control vs. honda vss)
RCREW custom built wireharness
Tony Palo custom trigger

"turbo"
GT4067 S housing
FR top mount
24 x 12 x 3.5 Garrett core w/ RCREW Fabbed endtanks
RCREW 2.5 inch aluminum piping thru out
44mm Tial wastegate .9 bar spring
50mm Tial Bov

Thanks goes out to everyone on the board who's helped me. Ninesecteg, Tony1, ArtTurbo, Geoff and the FR crew. Then there's the local people, thanks for your support throughout these years.

Of course there are cars that made more power than this and I really admire the tuners and builders involved, but I just wanted to share this with you all, since this community has played a big part in putting this together. I read this board everyday . I been working on this car since I was 16 years old, and been through a lot to get it to this point, as I'm sure any of you who are building similar cars have. Just wanted to tell you all keep at it!

Here's a picture of my car incase you haven't seen it in the other thread

The bottom end assembly, efi system, and fab work is done by me.

Great number Any idea whats causing the mis-fire? I'd figure the cdi, mecury coils and cam trigger would get rid of this type of problem.

I was thinking that the cdi-8 would take care of that too. At this point im not sure exactly why. I'm going to take a look at my plug wires, plugs, and engine grounds.

To do 600 whp I had to turn the wick to 300 kpa, which is 30 psi!

pm me if you want anything welded, i don't charge an arm or a leg.

for suspension i'm running tein rs double adjustable. 400 lbs front 1000 lbs rear. our shop is primarily road race, so the car will be corner wieghted. Hasport race mounts.

The transmission is GSR casing w/ type R gears cryotreated. Quaife LSD. Prodrive stage 1 with custom splined 4 x 114 hubs. Tilton Metal twin disc w/ hydro release bearing.

Believe it or not, a few months back when the car was 427 whp I actually had it at Buttonwillow raceway for a few quick laps. I'm surprised I made it home.

I have to ask...but why do you have that little aluminum fuel tank in the bay?

you do know that it's outlawed by SFWD right?

oh that thing is my water to air intercooler tank that i had on the car previously. didn't have anything to put in its place if i took it out, so i just left it there. probably wont be able to hit up and nhra events this year anyway, because of time restrictions.

i'm running my car next week at CMI a local race which is no holds barred, run what you brung style racing.

Ratings are moreso the company is not held reliable. I've taken certain sleeves up to 20psi just shy of 500whp but if you ask the company... they rate them to 8-10psi.

Good old mase has broken into the 6's with this pump if I recall correctly. It's either 640 on soundeffects car or 540 on vic's old set-up... Eitherway... good call on surging.

Art, since you're skinny like me I'm sure you'll fit.

Compressor surge... that's one thing I haven't thought about, but I don't think it's that because it wouldn't happen all the time.

I'm gonna try some different stuff on friday, hopefully all the bugs will be worked out by then.
