Ran my car- awesome results!
This was the 1st time my new car has been run. I just wanted too see what it would do. Here is the best run:
60' = 2.175
330' = 5.824
1/8 = 8.829
MPH = 81.94
1000' = 11.446
1/4 = 13.681
MPH = 100.27
We pulled several 2.1 sec 60fts. The 1st run and worst launch of 2.338 resulted in a 13.922 @ 102.45 mph!
On the run that I totally missed 4th gear it ran a 14.029 @ 96.49 mph.
Here is my setup:
Car: '92 Civic VX hatch- gutted, drivers seat only, CF hood. 1990 lbs.
Engine: D16A JDM SOHC VTEC ZC- stock.
Turbo: GReddy TD04-15g with small greddy intercooler, 5 psi of boost, no cat, 2 1/4" exhaust w/a resonator dumping under the car.
Polyurethane mount inserts, Z10 radius arms, stock shocks, Tenzo-R 2 1/4" springs.
It was about 55 degrees out, and I ran the stock 14" steelies with the stock 7 year old 185/60-14 bridgstones. Tire pressure was 17 psi.
Waht do you guys think? I am extremely pleased and plan on going again on friday to try and better my times. I love my turbo SOHC!

It dyno'd at 166.1 hp and 147.6 tq at 5 psi. If someone could host/post the pic for me I could scan the dyno and my timeslip.

The kit is $1500, intercooler is $700. BOV is $180. Takes a few hours to install if your are mechanically inclined and have tools.
I sent "sushibug" my dyno and timeslip and he said he'll post them for me, so they should be up soon.

Mista, I like having my power at all times and not refilling bottles, but to each his own.
By the way, what would your car run on street tires instead of slicks?

Yeah, I was there. My car is a red hatch with CF hood, GSR Blades on the back, stocks on the front. What were you in?

I would guess about 13.9-14.1 area because I'm so used to launching at 6500-7000 rpms. I'd just blow the street tires off!
Besides, slicks are more consistant.

Yeah, I launch at 3800-4000 rpm. I basically dump the clutch and let it spin at 1/2 throttle until it hooks, then gun it, and it spins in 2nd gear for a sec and then hooks again. Its all good from there.
I'm torn between running some of the new BFG drag radials, or just getting some slicks. Any thoughts?

slicks, they will hook better.
Unless you don't feel like changing tires at the track.
BTW Jegs has the cheapest prices on the Gforce drag radials.
They are sticky! I have a set in 225/50/15 for my low powered 86 TA.

I think I'm gonna do the BFG drag radials, seems like people are really liking them. I'll get slicks later.
I have 2 rim choices, my stock 14" x 5"? or 6"?
or
my gsr stocks, 15" x 6"?(i think).
Do you think the 205/50R14 would fit the stock steelies? The stock tires are 185/60-14's. Or would the 205/50R15 be a better choice?

I have the Z10 bars, but I think I need to adjust them more because I still get some wheelhop in 1st.
