radiator problem....
 

i have an aluminum radiator and the nipple that hooks up to the overflow hose came off , ive tried jb weld numberous times and it doesnt hold for that long , can i soldier it???? i was gonna try that and see if it works . what are your thoughts?

Who makes it? No warranty?

Maybe try drilling out the location where it goes and tapping it 1/4" NPT, then using a pipe to hose barb fitting.

its got a warrenty but im trying it for quick fixes because its my daily driver......

Very smart idea. Why dont you find ur old rad. and use it while the alum. is being fixed?

cause its at my moms house , and im at my house 3 hours away

JB won't hold it since they use a ferrous metal base. The aluminum expands twice as much when hot and the JB weld just flakes off. You can probably use silver solder since it melts at a slightly higher temp than lead solder. I don't think that the radiator would get hot enough the melt the solder anyways. It's worth a try!
