Default Quiet exhaust compatible with turbo...

What do you guys run for an exhaust? I am wondering what a quiet exhaust would be while still being efficient for the turbo.

All exhausts are quiet with turbo.

And regular cat-back will be nice and quiet.

i think im gonna go custom with my exhaust(to save those pennies). so a turbo does quiet it down quite a bit. even with like a n1 or fireball?

So a Mugen twinloop with custom piping would work fine?

Blitz is loud no matter what.... Apex N1 I think is the best.

the 3" N1 alone is slightly quieter then the thermal 3" (that i heard on a drag3/integra) its not open header n/a loud or anything, but its not stock. i heard a turbo car with a greddy evo and it was super quiet but its not 3"

i saw a car on the dyno a little while ago and he tried some type of exhaust and then an open downpipe, and the downpipe picked up 20hp at the same boost

Gah how could you people like the N1, its louder and nastier then my custom 3" and these are NA cars with non 3" setups.... My 3" with carsound cat, 18" dynomax resonator and magnaflow muffler is still pretty loud, but it sounds damn sweet...

I set off car alarms with ease... the only reason its tolerable is because throughout revving the tone stays deep and low, non of that ricey fart pipe, high pitched, raspy, bumblbee crap

What are some nice sounding mufflers? I will probably go custom exhaust and just need a good sounding muffler. Again, a quiet muffler is key. Going for as much of a sleeper as you can with a turbo. Also, how much does a resonator help?

For those of you with the thermal cat-back, and are thinking about getting a different resonator to make it more silent. Do not get a Magnaflow resonator.
I replaced my thermal's resonator with a longer one:
Magnaflow's 22"Long 4"Round (the longest one they make for 4"round)

and it got louder! attracts cops like dunkin donuts.

while we're on the topic...

i have a max rev 2.5" downpipe, carsound 3" cat, thermal 3"... i take it, i'm going to have a bit of a noise problem. will it be that loud at idle or low rpm/speeds?
normally i wouldn't care, but I live in california (where everything is illegal)... so...

what can be done to tone it down?
