shxT! it ended up bein around a two hour job..had to move so many things around to get to the bolts of the downpipe..and my friend thought we could get the oilpan off without taking the downpipe off..so we tried that first and then the oilpan would almost come off but then got stuck so we tried to get the bolts off the downpipe, in the most god forsaken places... finally we get those off and i take off my oilpan and look at it..the idiots who were working on my car tried to reuse the old one and hondabonded the whole thing (inside rim), so we had to scrape all of that off, then got it back on...then put the bolts back on then lower the car, tighten all the header bolts and throw my fan back in. and my downpipe is still disconnected cuz we ran out of time! it was quite an experience.

Hehe, you can replace the pan gasket without removing the oil pan entirely... If you can get the nuts/bolts loose and drop the pan 1" you can replace the gasket. Just takes some finesse
I guess this is after the fact though.

goes to prove....
that the simplest job sometimes becomes a hard and frustrating ordeal (why does that world look so wrong to me right now?).
It's kind of like concentrating on a small detailed task, yet you are mysteriously sweating bullets.
