Quick Question Re: Oil Sandwich Plate and Gauge Selection. TIA
THis weekend in preperation for my turbo install, i will be mounting my oil sandwich plate and attaching my oil pressure gauge Sensor. The question is:
What sort of thread sealer should i use on the ports? Plumbers dope, teflon tape, other?
Additionally, I am unsure about what sort of gauge i should invest in to complete my triple pod. Currently in the car i have boost and oil Pressure. I also have a digital AF display so no need for that... That being said which gauge would you guys deem most important.
Thanks guys

Re: Quick Question Re: Oil Sandwich Plate and Gauge Selection. TIA (Chronicsinners)
Use teflon tape or teflon paste.
3rd gauge should be wideband. All others, including your digital AF ratio are useless.
three gauges needed. Boost, oil pressure, wideband. ALL others are waste of money and just bling bling. Even boost isn't all that important, especially if you have datalogging on your engine management.
I do have a 4th guage personally though, oil temperature.
Please remember to not tee your oil feed line and oil pressure line off the same tee, the turbo feed line will give your oil pressure line a false reading. I know for a fact!!

Water temp, the stock gauge is off, I found that out the hard way when I first went to tune.
