Quick Question, plz help!
 

I'm trying not to sound completely stupid here, but i want to figure something out. When you look at the horsepower out put of a turbo, and it says 120-250hp, what does that mean exactly? I've been trying to figure this out. Does it mean that with the turbo you will only be limited to 250hp or is that 250hp added to how much horsepower your engine puts out before boost. Ex.) Stock B16A2 160hp to flywheel and 250 hp from gt25r you get 310hp?

Ok well i will try and put this as simple as possible. They rate turbos for the most part with CFM, but the hp number they put along with a turbo is mostly a number that along with the motor will happen together i guess. Now i am just confusing myself...

So if your goal is 500hp, buy a turbo that is capible of making 500hp, doesnt matter what engine it is.
