Default Quick picture comparison T51R KAI vs. GT47R-80

Back in the day, the 51R was a pretty darn sizeable turbo to be used on imports. Look at the new kid on the block...

When will it end?

Has that T51R been sitting on the bottom of a lake? Sure looks dirty! Someone try out the Gt47 and a 400 shot to spool it. Dang thats a big turbo. I remember seeing a T51R on a Supra in person and thinking that it was insanely huge. Guess not anymore.

Progression. Thats what it's all about.

Soon enough, the new "sought after setup" will be a 100mm turbo with the spool of a 30R on our 2.5L K series motors. Just watch, it will happen and I will be remembered as the person who predicted this.

Who would of thought a 1.8L could have 500ft/lbs by 2K.

it is definetly a lot bigger...

just because you can put something on a honda or any car for that matter doesn't mean it would be ideal or work well

I saw that picture, and was like.. wow, the T51R is still king.

2 mins later, I noticed the T51R-KAI tag on the smaller one. My jaw has been dropped since.

EDIT: You know how everyone compares their turbos to coke cans? Apparently this thing is as big as a 2 liter bottle.
