Questions concerning widebands and uberdata. -Datalogging and rpm reading
Ok as of right now I have my ecu socketed and ready to be tuned. Im about to pick up a burner, laptop, and wideband do do all of my tuning needs. Well im prolly going to go w/ the moates burner but just kind of holding off because I want to make sure everything is compatible with each other and my laptop im going to be using has all of the correct ports, etc. for my tuning tools. Well as of right now im in a bind on wether to get the innovative wideband or the plx 300 wideband. Im going to be tuning via Uberdata. Also im going to be doing my datalogging through Uberdata so I can later open up the samples in excel etc. and correct from there. Well my real question is ive hear with the innovative wbo2 you cant datalog w/ rpm. This is a big concern of mine. If I was using uberdata though to datalog I wouldnt have to worry about showing rpm reading would I? Im unclear here. Also w/ the plx unit I can datalog through Uberdata and it will show rpm etc right? Would it do this with the innovative also. Our is the unit not setup to read what rpm the a/f is at? Let me know guy's I know someone's smart on here and can help me better understand where my unclear thought's are. I dont want to buy one of he unit's and be kicking myself in the butt for a reason I could of bought the other for. Im trying to get the best bang for my buck. -Nick

Re: Questions concerning widebands and uberdata. -Datalogging and rpm reading (fastcivicboy)
With either wideband you'll be simply sending the voltage out of the wideband into the ECU via the O2 sensor wire. Uber can then log that voltage and convert it to a lambda value (this is where the equation differs from wideband to wideband, but all of the info is out there) RPM along with everything else will be logged the same way reguardless of which wideband you chose. The RPM signal is logged from the ECU itself and isn't a function of the wideband at all.
Moates.net Burn1 is an awesome product BTW

if you read some topics on the ubderdata site all of your questions would have been answered.
