I got the block from a a pretty reputable guy off here. Not going to say any names, but he is also affiliated with a big company and motorsports team, so I do think he would have screwed me.
Whether or not GE did it, cause it doesn't really matter at this point, I just want to some opinions.

You mean: So I DON'T think he would have screwed me. Correct?
Thanks for including so many pictures. When you say you blew the head gasket...how did this happen? What was the car doing?
You also said there was some "other problems". What do you mean? Be specific.
Alignment issues with the sleeves...are we talking across the board like they are cattiewompus from one another? What makes you think they are crooked?
The only thing I can see by the pictures is the machine work where one sleeve butts up to the sleeve next to it. Is this what your taking about?
Sorry about all the questions but I feel this will help myself and anyone else who wants to chime in, with what they think.

Yes I meant dont!!! Sorry
The car blew the headgasket when I started it... ironic I guess.
Other problems: Skirt scuffing (I believe because the car was only street tuned and was running lean during part of the street tuning, and then whatever happened while the other guy had it) It was also starting to smoke a little at idle as if the rings weren't sealing properly.
Cattiewompus?? But yes I was talking about where the butt to one another as you said.

Re: Questions about my GE sleeved 84.5mm B16. Pics included. (dome)
I am not as much asking about the 85mm, as I am about the correctness of the sleeves. There has been many 85mm sleeved cars that made good power, that LASTED. As I said I am thinking of doing it all again but I want to know how the sleeves are. I don't want this to turn into 85mm battle of whether its a good idea or not... I do my research b4 I make my decisions, and this is part of it! Thanks.
