Questions about kits, piping, motor swap, compatibility
I have a 99Si, and now GSR motor in it. I also have the b16 motor to the side. Im going to be taking out this motor, sending the block in the get sleeved, so now everything will be apart. Would you use the b16 head or gsr head? im gonna be changing out the valvetrain and using GSR cams. edelbrock IM. What do i buy the kit for? A 99Si? or GSR? is it the block thats different height or the head? It just seems easier to use the B16 head so that everything will match up, and i can still buy everything for a 99Si and be good to go! what do you think?

You would buy everything for a 99si whether you would be doing a swap or not.....The kits go with the vehicles so that the piping and everything fit within the car....Everything will bolt up just fine no matter what B head or motor you use

Re: Questions about kits, piping, motor swap, compatibility (TravSi)
I guess ill find out once i get to having the turbo. Now , would you just keep the B18 head and do it up from there or use the b16 head? if it isnt THAT much of a difference then ill just keep the B18.

Re: Questions about kits, piping, motor swap, compatibility (1SlowSi)
Maybe i should just ask this... I have a B18C1 in a 99 Si.. and i buy a kit made for the 99 Si, what problems will i run into? Inline Pro mani, and SC61, Revhard 2.5"DP. The DP should work just fine right? and the ONLY problem i should have would be the charge pipe to the intake manifold, but i will be using a Edelbrock. Will charge pipe will i have to use? And it should only have to be the piece from the hole in the fender to the IM right? Lets see what else... anything else shouldnt be a problem being that they are rubber couplers that CAN move a little bit.
